Dear Colleague:

Welcome to the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto. We are a dynamic and expanding group of legal professionals dedicated to the advocacy of issues of importance to our members, promotion of access to justice for the community, promotion of diversity in the legal profession and judiciary and creation of greater employment opportunities for visible minority members of the profession. We also serve as a networking forum and as mouthpiece for members of the legal profession who self-identify as South Asian or of South Asian origin or who advocate on issues pertaining to the South Asian community in the Greater Toronto Area.

Our membership reflects the diversity of the South Asian diaspora and the breadth of our profession. Our members are part of law firms, corporations, the government, non-profit organizations, academia and the judiciary. We count law students as well as senior members of the bar within our ranks. Our members work in the biggest law firms in the country and are also part of independent legal operations spread across the city. We are truly the voice of the South Asian legal community in the Greater Toronto Area.
